NTS - Craigievar Castle

Built over 50 years from 1576 to around 1626, Craigievar Castle is a stunning pink baronial castle said to have inspired Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle. A family home until the 1960s, it combines a quirky mix of rare antiquities and cosy interiors. Craigievar offers an authentic Scottish castle experience, with no artificial light beyond the first floor. Visitors can also enjoy the gardens and woodland trails, with the chance to spot native wildlife such as the elusive pine marten.
