About Lochter Activity Centre
We are Lochter Activity Centre, a family run business located on the outskirts of Oldmeldrum, just a 30 minute drive from Aberdeen City Centre. Originally a working farm and trout fishery, Lochter has evolved into a leading venue for outdoor adventure activities and Scottish country sports.
Try out our hands-on activities while enjoying views of Bennachie and the rolling Aberdeenshire countryside. We offer a range of different outdoor activities with go-karting on our 1.2km Lochterstone track (same layout as Silverstone), Clay pigeon shooting on our bespoke clay ground to name a few and much more. Our Scottish experiences are suitable for groups and FIT and offer an immersive accompanyment to your clients' itineraries due to our proximity to Glen Garioch Distillery, Pitemedden Gardens and iconic castles.
Lochter Coffee Shop and Restaurant offers local dishes in a welcoming atmosphere, and private group dining is available in our charming converted barn.
We specialise in corporate entertainment and can tailor a package best suited for the team whether you have a small group, or 1000 delegates.

Scottish Adventure
Enjoy a warm welcome with tea or coffee on arrival before taking part in clay pigeon shooting, mini Highland Games, and fishing or another activity of your choice, all led by experienced instructors, and finish your adventure with a delicious soup and sandwich lunch.

Scottish Country Pursuits
A perfect introduction to Scottish country sports. Choose from clay pigeon shooting or fly fishing for rainbow trout.

- Demonstrations on how to cast accurately with a chance of catching your very own Rainbow trout
- Take your shot on the clay pigeon shooting and test your skills on various traps

| Group Dining & Refreshments | We offer a range of different menus prepared by our award-winning chefs to suit specifically to your event. Our catering is freshly prepared and majority homemade, we like to use local produce such as barra berries, Mackies ice cream and local butchers where we can. | Terms & conditions | Payment: Payment is due 28 days from the date the invoice has been sent. Our accounts team will send across an invoice for payment after the date. Cancellation: Charges may apply to cancellations less than 4 weeks prior to the event. A booking contract will be provided with full cancellation policy. Final numbers: Final numbers required 1 week prior to the booking date. Bookings 100+ people final numbers required 3 weeks prior to booking date. Blackout dates: We are typically closed for a short period of time over Christmas and New Year. There is usually 1-2 dates we are open for activities only in-between Christmas and New Year, please contact us for more information. Health & safety: Please be aware that many of the activities require a certain level of mental and physical ability. If you have suffered from any previous injury/illness that may be aggravated by an activity, please refrain from partaking in it and notify an instructor Participants are advised that alcohol is strictly prohibited prior to and during any of the events. Accessibility: Please provide any accessibility requirements in advance to allow us to best advise on what activities are suitable. Some activities have age limits and weight restrictions, you can view these on our website or if you are unsure one of the team can assist. We advise dressing appropriate for the weather with comfortable clothes and always take along a waterproof jacket just to be safe. |
