About Barra Berries

Barra Castle, in rural Aberdeenshire and less than 20 miles from the city of Aberdeen, is run by husband and-wife team, David and Sarah Stephen. Barra is synonymous with family, quality and local produce and they have been growing strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and honeyberries since 2003 and are one of Scotland’s most northerly fruit growers.

A range of experiences are available for groups. Your clients will have the opportunity to learn about the life of a Barra Berry, hear about the fascinating history of the site, including the Battle of Inverurie in 1308 where Robert the Bruce defeated the Earl of Buchan, and enjoy a taste of the produce grown in their polytunnels.
