Glen Tanar Estate

Glen Tanar is a 25’000-acre Scottish Highland Estate set in the spectacular Cairngorms National Park in Royal Deeside close to Balmoral and provides the perfect base for exploring the outdoors. We have seven luxury self-catering cottages, a historic wedding venue, and a range of unique activities/experiences on offer - Including traditional Scottish country sports like deer stalking and salmon fishing. The estate is home to some of Scotland’s most incredible wildlife, like Golden Eagles, Red Deer, Capercaillie, and Red Squirrels. With a 3000-acre National Nature Reserve at the core of the estate, including Scotland’s 3rd largest remaining remnant of the ancient Caledonian Pine Forest we balance conservation, and land/wildlife management through a blend of traditional and modern techniques.
