About HES - Duff House
Historic Environment Scotland is the lead public body set up to investigate, care for and promote Scotland’s historic environment. They offer a diverse portfolio of visitor attractions to allow your clients to immerse themselves in Scotland’s past.
Duff House is located on the Banffshire Coast and is a historic Georgian mansion house which contains a collection of important works of art.
Duff House is suitable for both group and FIT clients.
ABOUT DUFF HOUSE
- Historic Georgian mansion dating back to the 1700s.
- Colourful history, from a feud between the owner and the architect to its use as a prisoner of war camp during WWII.
Duff House is now a country house gallery displaying collections from the National Galleries of Scotland and includes work by:
- El Greco
- Raeburn
- Ramsay
- Gainsborough
- Etty

- Coach and car parking, including accessible parking
- Shop with range of Scottish and local gifts and souvenirs
- Children’s play area
- Lift to allow wheelchair access to upper levels. Two wheelchairs are available for use on request
