About City of Aberdeen Distillery
The City of Aberdeen Distillery is the first distillery in Aberdeen City for 80 years. The distillery is owned and run by two friends Dan and Alan. The experiences we offer are led by the head distiller.
Excite your clients and offer them the opportunity to become distillers in the Gin School Experience. Your clients can distil their very own bottle of Scottish Gin within a historic railway arch in the heart of Aberdeen City. Distillery Tours and Gin Tasting Masterclasses are also available.
The distillery is located 5 minutes walk from the main shopping centre / transport hub (including train station).

Guided tour of the distillery, talk on the history of gin & heritage of distilling in Aberdeen and Q&A with the head distiller.
For non-English speaking groups, we provide an abbreviated version of the Discovery Tour which your guide can translate from English into the group’s language.

- Talk on the history of gin – where it came from, methods of distillation, interesting stories and artwork from the times. Includes a story challenge.

Clients design their own gin recipe for it to be expertly distilled later by the Head Distiller – your client’s gin (70cl bottle) is ready to collect same / next day

Clients explore flavour through samples of gin in a small group setting. Upgrades available e.g. taste single distillates or/and enjoy a full G&T

- Guided tasting of 6+ locally distilled Scottish gins with mixers.

- Base organic spirit & single distillates
- The tasting instead starts with an appreciation of the base spirit – your clients have the opportunity to sample our premium, ultra-smooth neutral grain spirit that all of our gins are based on - it's organic. Next, they are invited to taste four single distillates of the botanicals that make up most gins i.e. Juniper, Coriander, Angelica and Orris (all distilled separately to taste). We then continue onto the core of the Flight of Fancy - a tasting of the range of gins.
