Golf

Make the North-east your client’s next golf destination for its historic and scenic courses and fabulous food and drink to enjoy along the way. Along its 165-mile coastline are iconic links courses, set against towering dunes and designed by legends like Old Tom Morris. Inland, parkland courses are nestled in forests, castle grounds, and estates, including Braemar, the UK’s highest course, near the Cairngorms.

VisitAberdeenshire runs a comprehensive ‘travel trade ready’ programme to ensure that local tourism businesses understand your world, and as such, in addition to golf, the destination offers a wealth of bookable travel trade products for both group and FIT.

Kintore Golf Club

Introduction

The spectacular course covers a large area of ground from the Don basin, overlooked by the clubhouse, to mature woodland at the far perimeter.
Although not as long as some courses – measuring 6126 yards from the medal tees – the golfer cannot afford to be overconfident. The course is a mixture of picturesque parkland, and holes lined by trees and criss-crossed by burns, producing interesting and tricky holes.
The golfer will enjoy spectacular views over the River Don, stretching to Bennachie and the Grampian hills to the north and south.
