Bio

Wild History and Whisky Tours are fascinating and unique – we take a holistic look at the history and environment that make up the beautiful areas of Aberdeenshire, Royal Deeside and Speyside, whilst enjoying some excellent tours and tastings at selected whisky distilleries that incorporate the local ‘tale’. We find out how the landscape and its communities have been fashioned by an often turbulent and captivating history.

We concentrate on places slightly off the beaten track that encapsulate the local story, engaging with local people and businesses, providing insightful and unique visitor experiences. Our set tours are themed to tell a story, ranging from the mystery of the recumbent stone circles that are peculiar to the region, to the rise of the Scottish castle, to the fall of the Jacobites.

We also offer tailor-made tours, curated to suit your particular interest, including clan connections for those wanting to visit their roots. Our two-day House of Gordon Tour is our most popular tour.

Tours are private and numbers are kept low (maximum of four) to provide a more personal experience.
