About Stonehaven Paddleboarding

Based at Stonehaven Harbour, offers a range of tours to allow clients to experience the stunning coastline and wildlife of North-east Scotland and the majesty of Royal Deeside from the River Dee.

Tours are suitable for competent paddlers, and beginner lessons are available in Stonehaven Harbour, a safe space to learn the basics. Tours can also be combined with beginner lessons. All tours and lessons include top-of-the-range equipment: boards, paddles, wetsuits, boots, and buoyancy aids.

Mobile wood fired sauna

  • Available to hire for a 45-minute session for 1–6 pax
  • Changing facilities, cold freshwater shower, and public toilets available nearby
  • Suitable for age 12+ only
  • Can be combined with any lessons or tours

Equipment rental

  • Wetsuits available for children from age 9+. From £20
  • Sit-on-top kayaks (single/double), paddle, wetsuit & personal flotation device. From £30

Beginner Lessons

  • 2 hr duration // 2–8 participants

Family friendly sessions:

  • 1 hr duration // 4–8 participants // children unable to paddle their own board FOC

The Big Yin

Availability: April - October (subject to weather)
Group Size: 4-6 min/max

Inclusions:

  • Guided stand-up paddleboard safari from Stonehaven to Fowlsheugh Nature Reserve, home to over 130,000 seabirds
  • Wildlife spotting includes puffins, guillemots, razorbills, seals, and dolphins
  • Coaching on technique throughout
  • Transport back to Stonehaven Harbour from Fowlsheugh Nature Reserve via high-speed boat

All tours and experiences can optionally include the mobile wood-fired sauna and equipment rentals as listed above.
