Scottish Tourist Guides Association

The Scottish Tourist Guides Association (STGA) is Scotland's only professional membership body for fully trained and accredited guides, endorsed by VisitScotland and VisitBritain. With more than 60 years of experience and over 500 members across Scotland, the STGA can help visitors find the ideal guide to enhance any itinerary, whether travelling independently, with family and friends, or as part of a leisure or corporate group.

Each guide brings a wealth of local knowledge, specialist interests and excellent communication skills to create memorable visitor experiences.

Guide Types

• Blue Badge Guides: Qualified to guide throughout Scotland
• Green Badge Guides: Qualified to guide within a specific region, including North East Scotland
• Yellow Badge Guides: Qualified to guide at specific attractions and affiliated with tourism organisations
