| Seabird Safari | Duration: 3 hours Take a walk along part of Aberdeen’s North Sea Trail south of the city centre with an official Countryside Ranger. Walk along the rugged coastline from the quaint suburb of Cove back towards the South Harbour (distance and starting point can be tailored to suit your clients’ needs). Spot varieties of seabirds such as razorbills, kittiwakes, and gannets, and look out for resident bottlenose dolphins.

| Woodland Walk & Minibeast Hunt | Duration: 1.5 hours Enjoy a guided tour of the rich and varied wildlife found in the grassland, heathland, and woodland of Aberdeen’s Tullos Hill, a favourite walking spot for local people. In the company of a Countryside Ranger, get up close to some of the hill’s smallest residents and discover the diversity of invertebrates that call North East Scotland home, including the delicate peacock butterfly and the fierce devil’s coachman beetle. If your clients have more time, this experience can also take place at Elrick Hill, a more rural location and a true highlight of Aberdeen’s spectacular countryside. | Bat & Moth Evening | Duration: 3 hours Join the Countryside Rangers after dark and step into the nocturnal world of bats and moths. Use specialised detectors to listen to the otherwise inaudible clicks and calls of hunting bats native to North East Scotland. Using sugar and light traps, learn about the incredible adaptations that help moths survive in darkness. Aberdeen’s Tullos Hill, a well-loved walking spot, is the prime location for this experience. It can also take place at Elrick Hill for a more rural setting.
